Devonport

The Society recently lodged its formal objection to the proposed development of South Yard by Princess Yachts. The full text of our letter to Plymouth City Council can be found here.

Our intervention attracted considerable media interest in Devon. NDS secretary Dr Ann Coats was interviewed live on BBC Radio Devon on 21 July, and our opposition to the proposals has been widely reported - for example, here and here.

The NDS is also deeply concerned about the future of the Plymouth Naval Base Museum and of the collections held by it.
